Fjallið is a student association within the University of Iceland for students of Earth Sciences, Geography and Tourism. Fjallið will host many fun events this upcoming autumn and spring. Some examples would be the Öskjuleikar, the final exam party, the annual festival, mountain hikes, beer nights and weekly “Vísó” trips.
Almost every Friday there will be what we call “Vísó trips”, where students visit companies and receive a presentation about what they do, often with some food and alcohol included. It’s a good way to learn about future opportunities and a good pregame before we go downtown! Fjallið also has an Instagram page, @fjallid! There you’ll find all the information you need about the social life. Joining the facebook group is also strongly recommended, if you haven’t gotten an invite let us know!
